About Laura
As our finance director, Laura oversees all of ROCK’s monetary practices and policies. Working out of our head office in south Wales, she leverages her considerable forecasting abilities to ensure that the company remains in great fiscal health.
Having obtained a BSc in Business Administration from Cardiff University, Laura went on to gain her ACCA accountancy qualification, simultaneously gaining experience in numerous vital practices including auditing and account management whilst working for one of Wales’s largest accountancy firms. She became a client manager shortly after gaining this qualification, working with several high-profile clients across a range of industries before going on to procure a senior consultancy role at an accountancy firm based just outside of Cardiff.
Following this, Laura gained various accreditations in programmes such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks. Offering additional services including forecasting and management accounting to her clients, Laura served a number of companies as both an account and their business adviser. She was promoted to lead consultant as a result and assisted the firm’s directors with both the development and implementation of various strategies – both internally and externally – whilst also managing a team of 20.
Following her having joined ROCK, Laura has driven a variety of innovative and transformational practices. In particular, she has single-handedly developed ROCK’s finance division and has also developed management accounting procedures to facilitate superior decision-making across multiple business functions.
Outside of work Laura enjoys spending time with her young family, is a fan of travelling and is also a fitness fanatic who particularly enjoys swimming and cycling.
