As a SaaS company set to launch our platform publicly in 2024, we're looking to expand our team with a Figma-savvy UI Designer.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and owning our design system for a fast-paced SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating new UI components, refactoring old ones to meet the design systems standards, whilst maintaining any changes required to our design libraries to ensure the development teams have all the resources readily available.
  • Playing a key role in building and completing a design system for 4 core module releases for a SaaS platform throughout 2024-25.
  • Taking ownership of design enhancements, including good knowledge of both visual and interaction design.
  • Working closely with the Lead Developer and Innovation Lead to evaluate platform ideas and solutions, through to implementation within your designs.

Essential skills & experience

  • Extensive experience as a UI / Interaction designer (3+ years’ experience).
  • Expert / excellent knowledge of using Figma and components.
  • Experience using Figma variables, variants, and properties.
  • Experience working with Design Systems, asset libraries or UI systems.
  • Experience in interaction design and UI best practices.
  • Ability to create high quality responsive UI designs.
  • Knowledge of how to optimise designs for the design systems.
  • Evidence of working with developers to ensure pixel-perfect UI implementation.
  • Experience in organising and maintaining components, through the use of documentation.
  • Good communication skills and understanding of how to deliver designs to development teams.
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Identifying opportunities for design optimisation, improving design standards, and promoting implementation of best practices.
