ROCK is a market leading Tech Consultancy based in Bridgend with offices and clients spanning the whole of the UK. We help clients across the world solve their technology problems, evolving their capabilities to navigate the digital age and beyond.
As a developer within the marketing team, you will be responsible for building new features, pages, and elements of our growing website. You will work with our internal designer to create these pages. We utilise data-driven development and use tools such as Hotjar to measure the success of the page display and you will use this data to implement and develop proactive changes to the website.

Key responsibilities
- Frontend development converting designs to website code
- Implement complex features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Maintain and enhance new and existing web applications using Concrete CMS
- Conduct website performance tests and troubleshoot SEO issues especially improving website speed.
- Develop scalable and readable code using SOLID principles
- Building and maintaining REST APIs between HubSpot
- Monitor the performance of the website.
- Website security and spam blocking.
Essential skills & experience
- Experience using HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP
- Experience with SEO
- Experience with MySQL or other database languages
- Able to communicate complex technical information and concepts to non-technical people
- Good understanding of responsive design principles
- Understanding of page speed intricacies
- Excellent problem solver
- Eager to learn new technologies, and a willingness to improve and futureproof our website
Desirable skills & experience
- Be degree qualified, or able to demonstrate an equivalent ability level
- Experience developing with Concrete CMS or similar
- Experience using source control and industry standard branching methodologies (GIT)
- Keen interest in UX and accessibility
- A portfolio of completed projects
- Someone who enjoys picking up new technologies and is interested in keeping up with the latest developments for the modern tech we use.
- Cross browser testing and solving compatibility issues
